FAA Part 107 remote pilot. I build my own drones and fly them, about eight so far across Betaflight and ArduPilot, and I do the powertrain, wiring and tuning myself. At Lawrence Berkeley National Lab I built a stove-mounted camera and air-quality rig for a childhood asthma study, and at UPenn's Singh Center I worked in the Class 100 cleanroom.

01Experience

UPenn — Singh Center for Nanotechnology — ESAP Participant

Nanofabrication in the Singh Center cleanroom

  • Built an adaptive audio control device with Professor Gyuseok Kim and the graduate TAs, and took it from a first prototype to a working demo.
  • Ran the full fabrication loop in the Class 100 cleanroom: photolithography on silicon, microfluidic devices, CdSe quantum dot synthesis, and SEM and AFM imaging of what came out.

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory — Student Research Assistant

Indoor air quality & childhood asthma study

  • Built a stove-mounted camera and air-quality sensor rig that photographs the cooktop every minute in occupied homes.
  • Reworked the mounts, wiring and capture scripts until the units held up in kitchens with different lighting and layouts.
  • Wrote the three-stage labelling pipeline that pairs each image with its sensor readings; over 40,000 pairs collected across three homes so far.

The Head-Royce School — Technology Office Assistant

IT + hardware support

  • Fixed student and staff laptops, displays and peripherals, and wrote the fixes down so the next person didn't have to work them out again.
  • Set up classroom and event AV, and covered the desk during events when something broke mid-session.
02Projects

FPV / UAS Builds — Personal Projects

  • Built and fly about eight drones, 45 mm to 5 in, on Betaflight and ArduPilot. Powertrain, flight-controller stack and payload wiring are all mine.
  • Set up and calibrate GPS, compass, barometer and IMU on each build, then tune the PIDs off how it flies and what the logs say.
  • Over 400 flight hours on FPV and camera drones. The repairs and rebuilds behind those hours are mine too.

Head-Royce VEX Robotics — Captain

  • Designed and built the mechanisms, then worked with the programmers to tune them with PID and repeated test runs.
  • Kept the team building through a workspace move by setting a schedule and making it obvious who owned what.
  • Results: State Champion; VEX Worlds Division Finalist; 2× Excellence, 3× Build, 2× Amaze, 1× Design, 2× Tournament Champion.
